Bark in the Park 2021 Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When is the Bark in the Park?
A: This year, Bark in the Park is virtual, meaning we are asking people to show their support for the animals by walking around their block (with social distancing in mind), around their living room, or on one of Lane County's many beautiful hiking trails. You can do it at any time, or multiple times (your dogs will love it!) Take a photo or video and then tag us on social media using the hashtag #ghsbark.
Q: Do I have to raise money to participate?
A: Although Greenhill Humane Society relies on this fundraiser to care for homeless pets, there is no minimum fundraising requirement to participate. However, we do suggest a $25 donation which will help significantly. Remember, the more money we raise, the more animals we can help.
Q: How is the money I raise used?
A: One-hundred percent of the money raised through pledges goes directly to the care of homeless pets in our shelters. Approximately 3,600 cats and dogs, as well as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small pets, are brought to us each year.
Q: Do I have to have a dog to participate?
A: Nope! All animal lovers and their furry companions are welcome to take part in the event!
