About Bark in the Park 2024

Please join us for this 5K or 10K Run / 2K Walk for the animals in Alton Baker Park on Sunday, May 19th. Everyone is welcome to participate with or without a pet. Proceeds benefit the animals at Greenhill Humane Society.

This fundraiser helps us care for over 5,000 animals each year and provide valuable services to our community.

REGISTRATION TIMES
Online registration closes at 5pm on May 18th.
Day-of registration will begin at 7am
Runs will start at 8:30 am
Walk will start at 9:45 am

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU to pick up your packet and pre-register before May 19th. Pre-event packet pick-up and in-person registration locations can be found on the main event page by clicking here.

Because of the anticipated attendance, we will start the walk and run at separate times

PLEDGES

Pledges are optional but encouraged. 100% of your sponsorships and pledges go directly to help the animals at Greenhill Humane Society. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to help care for and find homes for over 5,000 animals in 2024. Join us as we make this goal a reality!

OFFICIAL RULES

Dogs entered must be currently licensed. For safety reasons, "extend-a-leashes" will NOT be allowed. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. Leashes should be no more than six feet in length. Female dogs in heat are not permitted. Race officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone. No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. are permitted for safety reasons. Greenhill Humane Society suggests that dogs younger than six months should not participate. Be sure you and your dog are conditioned and properly trained for this event. Running all or even part of the course is not required.

Fastest Male, Female, and Non-binary Runners 
12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Bark in the Park 2024 Leashes will be awarded to:
Fastest Furballs (top three dogs)
